Private Collection Notice

Thanks for choosing to book with Blast Entertainment.

We aim to deliver as many of our rentals as possible. This is because normally we have the vehicles and time to be able to do so.

In some instances, we receive last minute bookings or bookings outside of our regular delivery area. In an attempt to service customers who unfortunately have no high quality, local rental companies or are struggling with last minute requests, we offer a collection and drop off service to be able to get them a unit of ours for rental.

We don’t offer this service for all of our equipment or for all of our customers. If we feel as if the person renting the requested equipment is capable of completing a set up to a similar standard that our employees would complete, we will extend this offer.

Setting up an inflatable safely is simple. There are two major safety concerns, which thankfully everyone is aware of:

  1. The Inflatable must be secure and;
  2. The Inflatable must be inflated correctly and does not deflate.

You will have indicated when you made your booking whether or not your inflatable is going on grass or a hard surface.

With Grass surfaces (unless requested otherwise) you’ll receive ground stakes, which must be hammered into the ground until the top of the stake is not visible. You’ll find rings along the edge of the inflatable which are where the stakes are hammered through.

In all other instances, you’ll be given sandbags, which must be clipped to these rings in order to weigh the equipment to the ground.

With respect to inflation, air can escape from two areas on an inflatable. Firstly the inflation tubes - this is where the blower is inserted into. The straps around the tube are what secures the PVC to the blower. This prevents air from moving back out of the tube, while the blower is inflating the unit. Secondly, there are zips and velcro flaps along the unit which must be shut while the unit is being used. These are only opened when the unit is deflated and should be shut in all other instances.

Provided you ensure that the unit is secure, is inflated correctly and the power is unaffected while being used - you will most certainly have covered all your bases.

Our equipment is designed to be exposed to the outdoor elements. Rain and wind is fine, however if there is continuous torrential downpour and/or winds of more than 35km/h, please turn the equipment off and place the blower under cover.

If you have any questions at all or require any sort of trouble shooting on the day, please call or text us on 021 207 1881.

Please note that it is preferred that you test all equipment as soon as possible after collection. This is to make sure that in transport the fans have not been damaged and still work, as there is a very limited chance that on the day of your event we can change our routes to bring you a replacement.
